Why am I asked to sign up for next year?

FEL conferences typically take place in the last months of the year. We offer a significant discount on the registration fee to FEL members, but there are more benefits, such as free electronic copies of our newsletter Ogmios and our conference proceedings, and access to our grants programme.

If you sign up at the end of the year you have only a few months or sometimes even weeks to enjoy the benefits we offer. This is the reason why we ask you to sign up or renew your membership for the following year. If you sign up after the conference registration has been opened your membership will start immediately and run until the end of following year.
